Meteorites (L5 chondrites) were found in August 2018, in the village of Bojiyare, Kenya, by a worker on his way to do maintenance work on a communication mast within the arid desert. The meteorites exterior has patches of fusion crust while the interior is brownish gray, with pale chondrules and abundant metal and sulfide.
